Called to be Collaborators: Formation in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for nine to twelve year olds prepares catechists to guide children, as they reflect on God’s acts of self-revelation throughout sacred history and ponder ever more deeply, the covenant relationship and God’s invitation to participate in His plan of salvation. Work in the level III environment includes studies in sacred history, the moral life, sacraments, virtues, and typology.
This CGS certificate course is offered through the CGS office for the Archdiocese of Toronto and Continuing Education at the University of St. Michael's for catechists, who have already received their Level I and Level II formation and who have worked with children of both levels in the Atrium. The full course is comprised of 120 hours of formation; it will be offered over the course of three consecutive summers, beginning in July 2019 and finishing in July 2021.
